KOCH EXPANDS DEAL WITH EQUITY MUSIC GROUP

(Port Washington, New York) October 24, 2007 – KOCH Entertainment Distribution announced today that it has expanded its distribution agreement with Equity Music Group by signing an exclusive digital distribution deal. This new agreement now makes KOCH the exclusive physical and digital distributor for the label’s complete catalog and forthcoming releases in North America.  KOCH obtained distribution of the Equity Music Group’s physical catalog when it acquired Navarre Entertainment Media, Inc. in May of 2007.

The Equity Music Group was founded in Nashville in 2003 by country music superstar Clint Black and label veteran Mike Kraski, who shared the vision of creating a partnership between label and artist.  This mission statement served the partners well as they built a label that was last year named Independent Label of the Year by Billboard Magazine.  In addition to Black, the label is home to platinum plus selling act Little Big Town, as well as rising artists Carolina Rain and Laura Bryna.  Noted songwriter and recording artist Carolyn Dawn Johnson recently signed with Equity, as did hit maker Mark Wills.
