KOCH Signs Deal With Superb Records

Label debut’s new Music For Dummies® line of compilation CDs

 (Port Washington, New York)--September 4, 2003--KOCH Entertainment Distribution, the leading independent distributor of music, video and DVD, announced today that it has signed an exclusive U.S. distribution deal with Superb Records for their new Music For Dummies® product line and select titles. 

Based in Los Angeles, Superb Records was launched in 2000 by music industry veteran, Shiro Gutzie. Gutzie’s vision for the label is to explore unique opportunities in branding, artistry, film soundtracks and compilations, and is currently developing music-driven television and film projects.  Superb Records has released the motion picture scores to such major Hollywood films as "XMEN-2," "Solaris,"  "Phone Booth" and  “The Order”. The label has an exclusive licensing agreement with book publisher Wiley Publishing, Inc. for the rights to release audio compilations marketed with the Music For Dummies® trademark. Forthcoming titles from this line via KOCH will include "70's Soul For Dummies," "Disco For Dummies," "80's Pop For Dummies," "Neo-Soul For Dummies", “Pop and Rock Divas For Dummies” and "Classic Rock For Dummies". Release dates for all these Superb Records titles will be announced soon.
