KOCH To Distribute Gearhead Records

(Port Washington, New York)---July 14, 2003---KOCH Entertainment Distribution, the leading independent distributor of music, video and DVD, announced today an exclusive distribution deal with indie rock label, Gearhead Records. Under this agreement, KOCH will distribute the entire Gearhead catalog and all forthcoming releases. Best-selling titles include The Hives "Barely Legal", The Hellacopters "High Visibility" and New Bomb Turks "The Night Before the Day the Earth Stood Still".

 

California, Bay Area-based Gearhead Records was launched in 2000 as an offspring to Gearhead Magazine. The label’s first release was a collection of out-of-print 7”singles that had previously been individually included in each issue of the magazine. Noted for being the first label to bring The Hives to the US, Gearhead prides itself in continuing to find the freshest, most exciting punk and rock bands around. Forthcoming releases via KOCH Entertainment Distribution for Fall 2003 include The New Bomb Turks “Switchblade Tongues, Butter Knife Brains”, The Dragons "Dirty Bomb" CD single and a collection of "Demons" singles and b sides.
