KOCH to Distribute Entertainment Programs Inc.

EPI’s genre-driven video catalog includes over 130 titles specializing in Martial Arts, Cinema Stars, Horror and many more

(Port Washington, New York) December 16, 2004 - KOCH Entertainment Distribution, the leading independent distributor of music, video and DVD, announced today an exclusive distribution deal with Entertainment Programs Incorporated (EPI), a home video/DVD label specializing in niche and genre-driven programming.  KOCH assumes distribution for EPI in April 2005 with forthcoming titles to be officially announced at a later date.

Entertainment Programs Incorporated was launched in 1982 by home video industry veteran Joseph Pershes, who had served as VP Home Video at 20th Century Fox Films just prior to starting the company.  Based in Woodland Hills, California, EPI, originally founded as Master Arts Video, was the first and only label that exclusively marketed martial arts films.  Over the years, the company expanded and diversified its catalog of niche programs which now consists of over 130 titles.  EPI has had great success marketing such home video lines as “Sirens of the Silver Screen”. The company now has a successful line that includes cult movies, airplanes of WWII, family outdoor adventures and films featuring classic female stars of the Fifties.

“We are very excited to announce our distribution partnership with KOCH Entertainment Distribution,” says Joseph Pershes, President of Entertainment Programs Incorporated.  “We can now bring more exciting titles to the DVD marketplace, in both the traditional and mass merchant markets.”

Michael Rosenberg, President of KOCH Entertainment Distribution comments, “EPI’s exciting catalog of niche and genre-based programs makes a great addition to our growing video/DVD line.  We look forward to bringing these titles to a larger retail base.”
