(Port Washington, New York)- -July 1, 2003--KOCH Entertainment Distribution, the leading independent distributor of music, video and DVD, announced today an exclusive distribution deal with AnimEigo, a leading Anime label that specializes in releasing the finest Japanese Animation and Samurai films in the North American market. Under this agreement, KOCH Entertainment Distribution will distribute AnimEigo’s entire catalog which includes well-known classic titles such as Macross (the series that became the core of "Robotech"), Bubblegum Crisis, Urusei Yatsura, Kimagure Orange Road, Oh My Goddess!, and You're Under Arrest. Established in 1989, AnimEigo has long had an unrivalled reputation with Anime fans for the quality of its translations, subtitling and dubbing.

According to Robert Woodhead, AnimEigo CEO, "In our early days, only the hard-core fans even knew what Anime was, so we concentrated on serving their needs. But now that Anime is becoming a mainstream genre, we need a partner who can help us more broadly distribute our catalog. After a great deal of research, we came to the conclusion that KOCH was the best fit for us, and we look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with them.”

KOCH Entertainment Distribution President, Michael Rosenberg adds, “KOCH is very excited to be working with AnimEigo as we continue to expand our home video business. AnimEigo is one of the finest companies in the Anime genre and we are pleased to bring their quality
