KOCH Expands Label Roster with Eclectic New Lineup

(Port Washington, NY) April 25, 2006 – KOCH Entertainment Distribution is pleased to announce that it has expanded its distribution roster with the signing of three exclusive North American distribution deals which include Made Records, REX Recordings and R.N.L.G. (Rob Nonies Label Group). 

“We are pleased to welcome these new labels which we believe have incredible growth potential.  We have already had great success with the initial release from REX both in the physical and digital worlds, and we look forward to the first releases from Made and RNLG,” commented Michael Rosenberg, President of KOCH Entertainment Distribution.

Recently-launched Made Records will be releasing quality dance/pop music--music that is already making waves on both the underground and mainstream scenes nationwide. Home to such acts as international sensations iiO and dance cult hero Jimmy James, Made Records has already had Billboard chart success in the early part of 2006. The label is helmed by Markus Moser, who brings an extensive background as a world-renowned producer and founder of the aforementioned iiO (#1 worldwide smash dance/pop hit "Rapture" (Universal Records)). With upcoming releases from Jimmy James, Liz Scott, Nadia Ali and the long anticipated debut album from iiO, 2006 promises to be an exciting launch for Made Records.

"Our time is now," says Moser. "We spent the past 5 years concentrating on creating and exposing incredible music worldwide, and did so with great success. However, we have finally found the right distribution partner in KOCH, and with their help I expect our U.S. launch to be a fruitful one."

REX Recordings is a label based out of New York City headed by industry veteran Ron Urban. The label released its first title via KOCH on April 4th with “World Premiere” by The Team, a hip-hop group based out of Oakland.  Although their 2006 release schedule will focus primarily on the urban music genre, REX plans on expanding their roster to include other genres of music throughout the year.  The label’s catalog currently encompasses an eclectic line up of releases which include titles by Roy Orbison, Waylon Jennings, Alabama and more.

“Our new label needed a dynamic distributor with the strength and presence of a major and KOCH was the obvious choice,” commented Ron Urban, head of Rex Recordings. 

R.N.L.G. was launched to provide national distribution coupled with the marketing and promotional support of an experienced staff to independent urban labels.  The label group is headed by veteran urban music executive Rob Nonies who is best known for his stints as Director of Urban Operations at Bayside Entertainment Distribution and 33rd Street Records
